I strongly believe that ones personal defense program needs to include some sort of physical training as well as unarmed techniques against weapons and common street attacks.  Even a good person can find themselves in a bad situation…You need to acquire the tools that will enable the scales to tip in your favor, we can help with that.

If you are new to any form of self defense/combatives/martial arts training, or would just like to supplement your current or past training with a reality based system then I think you’ve come to the right place.  I would like to begin by commending  you for deciding to further educate yourself in this area of knowledge. You will find a great deal of information on CKM and Muay Thai (Thai boxing) on this site and we can help you put it into context.

I believe my prior martial arts experience, background in education as well as my experience physically training hundreds of people here in Tallahassee will allow me to effectively teach you how to better protect yourself and learn a fun combative sport all while while getting in better shape.

For a little bit about my martial arts background, at age 13 I started training in American kickboxing, I then the opportunity to study Jeet Kune Do Concepts it was here that I learned to appreciate the benefits of a non traditional system.  It was during this training that I was first exposed to Muay Thai and submission grappling as well as Kail and of course Jun-Fan JKD.  I continued my training focusing mainly on kickboxing and submission grappling for some time while periodically augmenting that training with a style of non-traditional Kung-Fu.  During my tour of duty in Japan, I trained in Judo, It was at this time that I suffered a training injury that kept me from continuing my martial arts training for many years.  I had wanted to return to martial arts training for some time but chose to stay away from the sporting aspects of it.  I also knew that despite all of my training, there was still something missing.  I found that certain something” in Commando Krav Maga, a reality based system that focuses on multiple attackers and modern day weapons such as knives and guns.  I am fortunate enough to have CKM founder Moni Aizik (bio) as my instructor.  Most recently I traveled to Thailand where I trained Muay Thai "Thai Style", at the end of my training I was able to put my skills to the test in a pro fight at a local stadium.

I have been extremely fortunate and have worked very hard to be able to train with some great instructors, trainers and training partners.
I don't claim to have all the answers (run away from anyone who makes that claim), in fact I consider myself a student of the martial arts in every single aspect.  I simply wish to share my knowledge and personal experience with anyone looking to further their own martial arts education, wherever it may lead.  I have always held the belief that unarmed defense and physical fitness are just two parts of a complete personal protection plan.  I believe it is our right and individual responsibility to learn to protect ourselves and our loved ones however we can.   Without a doubt, the training we are offering is a step toward achieving that goal.
